Keyring Cube | Tim Webber

Tim Webber is a local New Zealand sculptor working as part of the ‘Urban Development’ collective from their studio on the corner of Nelson St and Wellesley St, Auckland. He enjoys experimenting with exaggerating scale and how it can transform a familiar everyday object into something spectacular. The giant rubix cube, dubbed ‘Chain Cubed’, is made from plywood and acrylic and suspended by a large industrial chain, designed to replicate a keyring chain. The object is illuminated from lights within and will be lit from 6pm to 1am every night. If you want to check it out it is positioned outside Tim’s studio at 90 Wellesley Street.
