To support and encourage those living with Crohn’s and Colitis, four New Zealand artists have created an exhibition to raise awareness of the daily challenges Crohn’s and Colitis sufferers face.
Due to the symptoms of bowel inflammation, Crohn’s and Colitis sufferers often desperately need toilets. Therefore, each artist is showcasing their very own designer Art-a-loo to raise awareness of those who have experienced more toilets than anyone else and to do so in an uplifting way.
The art installations will be displayed throughout Wellington from July 29 – August 1 to mark the launch of Crohn’s and Colitis New Zealand (CCNZ); a new national support group for the 15, 000 New Zealanders living with the diseases.
These one-of-a-kind pieces will be available for auction on trademe.co.nz from 11 am on July 29, 2010.
